TEHRAN -- Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian has condemned Britain's decision to declare the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) a terrorist organization.

"The political solution for Palestine lies in a referendum among the indigenous residents (Muslim, Jewish, and Christian)," Abdollahian wrote in a tweet shortly before midnight on Friday. (Iran-Britain-Hamas)

ADEN, Yemen -- Forces loyal to the Yemeni government captured key areas from the Houthi rebel group as fighting continued escalating in the country's Red Sea port city of Hodeidah on Saturday, a military official told Xinhua.

During the past hours, the joint pro-government forces backed by the Saudi-led coalition launched a large military operation against the Houthi-held sites in Hays district in southern Hodeidah, the local military official said on condition of anonymity. (Yemen-Hodeidah-Fighting)
