ADEN, Yemen -- The death toll from the clashes between rival security forces in the Yemeni oil-rich province of Shabwa increased to 28, and the injuries to 68, a medical official told Xinhua on Thursday.

"Figures by the local medical centers confirmed that a total of 28 people were killed and more than 68 others injured following days of fighting across Shabwa's streets," the local medical source said on condition of anonymity. (Yemen-Clash-Death Toll)

NEW DELHI -- Three bodies have been recovered and 17 others were feared killed Thursday after a boat ferrying them capsized in a river in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, police said.

BAMAKO -- Fourty-two Malian soldiers were killed and 22 injured during a terrorist attack near Tessit town in Mali's Gao region on Sunday, the Malian government said Wednesday in a statement.

ISLAMABAD-- At least three people were killed and 10 others injured in a collision between a truck and a van on Thursday in Khairpur district of Pakistan's south Sindh province, local media reported.
