TEHRAN (Tasnim) The spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry condemned the American military strikes against Yemen as a blatant threat to international peace and security.
- Politics news -In a statement released on Wednesday, Esmaeil Baqaei strongly condemned the unabated US airstrikes on Yemen that have killed and injured civilians and destroyed the Arab countrys infrastructures.
Denouncing the illegal US attacks on Yemen as a flagrant violation of the fundamental principles of the international law, he warned that such strikes will only encourage the Zionist regime to keep committing genocidal crimes in Palestine and escalate insecurity in the region.
The American military strikes against Yemen and the violation of the Arab countrys territorial integrity constitute an egregious threat to international peace and security, Baqaei added.
He also expressed Irans solidarity with the people of Yemen who are doing their humanitarian duties by supporting the Palestinian nation against the Israeli regimes occupation and genocide.
The Iranian spokesman finally called for an end to the UN Security Councils silence and inaction and for collective and effective action by the Muslim governments and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to stop law-breaking, end the violation of international peace and security, and condemn the acts of aggression against Yemen.
