TEHRAN (Tasnim) The Yemeni military forces shot down another American MQ-9 Reaper drone, bringing the total number of such UAVs brought down in Yemen to 24.
- Other Media news -Brigadier General Yahya Saree, the spokesperson for Yemen's armed forces, announced that another MQ-9 has been shot down over Sanaa Governorate, Yemen Press Agency reported.
The Yemeni forces aired footage on Friday showing the debris of the American MQ-9 Reaper drone.
Saree made the comments during a mass rally at Al-Sabeen Square in Sanaa, whose theme was We remain steadfast with Gaza in the face of the American-Israeli escalation.
Saree has consistently emphasized in his statements that the Yemeni forces employ homegrown surface-to-air missiles to shoot down all US drones, highlighting the significant advancement of Yemens defense capabilities.
Since Israel's genocidal offensive on Gaza began on October 7, 2023, Yemen has declared unwavering support for Palestine.
The Yemeni Armed Forces have vowed to continue their strikes until Israels ground and aerial assaults on Gaza cease.
