TEHRAN (Tasnim) Yemens armed forces are assessing their response to Israeli attacks on civilian infrastructure in Hudaydah, a senior military official told Al Mayadeen, as Ansarallah pledges continued military operations in support of Gaza.
- World news -A senior source in Yemens Ministry of Defense said the countrys military is considering how to respond to an Israeli airstrike targeting infrastructure in Hudaydahprovince.
According to Yemeni media, Israeli and US warplanes jointly bombed a cement factory in Bajil, western Yemen. Initial reports indicate two civilians were killed and 42 others injured.
Mohammed al-Bukhaiti, a senior member of Ansarallahs political council, vowed retaliation.
We will respond to this aggression and we will never abandon Gaza, he said.
He stated that the recent attack on Ben Gurion Airport was only a warning and that more strikes are expected.
He warned that all Israeli airports could eventually be shut down if the assault on Gaza continues.
Another Ansarallah official confirmed ongoing coordination with Palestinian resistance and emphasized that recent attacks were in solidarity with Gaza.
He reiterated that Yemens military operations would escalate despite incurred losses.
Al-Bukhaiti, speaking to Al Jazeera, said: The enemy targeted Hudaydah port and several factories but failed to destroy our missile or air capabilities.
He said that the US and Israel have turned to civilian targets after failing to meet military goals.
Sites hit in recent attacks have already been bombed dozens of times before, he said.
He added that Ansarallahs operations in the Red Sea will continue and intensify.
We expected losses in this confrontation, but supporting Gaza is worth the cost, he said.
Were not ashamed of attacking Ben Gurion Airport. Were proud of it. Every strike that harms the enemy gives us satisfaction, Al-Bukhaiti affirmed.
He stressed that the recent strike was a warning and suggested further escalation is imminent.
He called on the US and UK to pressure Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu to accept a Gaza ceasefire agreement reached months earlier.
Whether Israeli, American or British planes bomb Yemen, it is always done with US weapons and intelligence, he said.
He confirmed Yemen will respond reciprocally to all escalations and remains confident in eventual victory.
